Employment eAlert: Oregon Legislature Shortens Term for Enforceable Non-Competition Agreements

ORS 653.295, the statute governing non-competition agreements for employees, has been amended to shorten the term of an enforceable noncompetition agreement from 2 years after an employee's termination to 18 months. The 18-month limitation applies to noncompetition agreements entered into on or after January 1, 2016.
