Overview
As a business litigation attorney, Drew handles litigation and appeals for clients in a broad range of industries in federal and state courts.  Drew gets to the heart of legal issues, delivering exceptional results for his clients through strategic research and clear communication.  His work focuses on complex legal analysis, from appellate briefing to contract disputes.

Prior to joining Sussman Shank, Drew clerked for the Honorable Rives Kistler at the Oregon Supreme Court.  During his clerkship, Drew drafted opinions for the court and evaluated petitions for review.

Each fall, Drew enjoys coaching students at Franklin High School as part of the Classroom Law Project "We the People" constitutional law competition.  He is also an active member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Multnomah Bar Association, currently serving on the Pro Bono Committee.

Representative Matters
  • Won summary judgment on behalf of defendant client in a liquor liability lawsuit with claims in excess of $3 million.
  • Obtained court order holding that plaintiff could not sue over 100 cannabis dispensaries in a single RICO lawsuit.
  • Represented nonprofit corporation in breach of contract dispute.
  • Obtained dismissal of lawsuit brought against employer and employee defendants based on allegations of race discrimination pursuant to ORS 659A.030 and constitutional violations under 42 USC 1983 and the First, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution.
