Representative Experience
Shareholder Disputes
We represented a high-tech corporation in defense of a claim by an early prospective investor who claimed he had an oral contract to receive a substantial percentage of stock in the company.

Real Estate
We represented the homeowner in prosecuting claims against the title insurer for breach of contract and bad faith.

Mergers and Acquisitions
We represented the owner of a successful real estate firm in a post-merger lawsuit for failure of the acquiring company to disclose investigation by the SEC regarding a securities fraud violation.

We represented a general contractor in a dispute regarding the cause of cost overruns and delays.  Litigation resulted in the owner dropping all of its counterclaims and paying damages to the general contractor.

We represented an officer and director in a lawsuit by a former company in which the company claimed our client breached an employment agreement (and violated fiduciary duties) which allegedly caused the company to incur more than $1,000,000 in damages.

We represented a Canadian franchisor in the defense of multiple U.S. arbitrations, including two complex arbitrations that both required several weeks of hearings.  After the hearings, the franchisor was fully vindicated against all claims and obtained awards of attorney fees.

Sales of Goods
We represented a premium apparel maker in a successful two-week trial, and obtained a jury verdict of more than $11.3 million against Japanese distributors for breach of contract, trademark infringement, and fraud.

We secured a summary judgment ruling on behalf of a national funeral home company where the plaintiffs alleged breach of contract.
